Welcome to “commUNITYcate” – the WMF Group whistleblowing system

The WMF Group and its brands, WMF, Silit, Kaiser, Schaerer, and Hepp, look back on 160 successful years in business. A major factor of this success of the WMF Group is the integrity and reliability of its employees and managers.

A lack of sensitivity on the topic of compliance can significantly challenge the very foundations of a company. For the WMF Group, however, compliance is more than the simple observance of regulations. It is a part of our company management and corporate culture.

At WMF, open discourse about complicated topics is an integral part of this culture. Our whistleblowing system, “commUNITYcate”, aims to contribute to this discourse.
Employees and business partners of the WMF Group and external parties have the possibility of submitting a report with relation to the WMF Group confidentially and, if desired, anonymously. Your anonymity will be protected technologically by the system, provided that you yourself do not enter any data that allows for conclusions about your identity to be drawn. The provided information will, of course, be treated with strict confidentiality.

Any act of retaliation against the whistleblower will not be tolerated, and the whistleblower is afforded protection against any such acts, unless they have deliberately submitted a false report. Please keep in mind that a report can have adverse consequences for employees, business partners, and other affected parties. We therefore ask you only to submit information that you believe to be truthful to the best of your knowledge.

Please help us protect the values of the WMF Group and its employees. Thank you.

  • Why do I have the possibility of submitting a report?

A good company culture requires compliance with laws and internal regulations.
Your report can contribute to the prevention of malpractice and damage to the WMF Group and its employees.
Detailed information on possible types of report will be provided during the reporting process.

  • What is the process for submitting a report?

If you wish to submit a report, either anonymously or under disclosure of your name, please click the “submit report” link on our homepage.

The reporting process consists of four steps:

    1. First, you will be asked to read the information on the protection of your anonymity and respond to a security query.
    2. On the following page, you will be asked about the main focus of your report.
    3. The reporting website allows you to first phrase your report in your own words. You will then be able to supply additional information about your report using a range of pre-defined responses and add a file attachment. Please keep in mind that files may contain information that could allow your identity to become known. Once you have submitted your report, you will receive a processing number as a receipt.
    4. You will subsequently be able to set up your own, secured postbox. A secured postbox is the only channel through which you are able to receive feedback from us, respond to possible questions, and keep updated about the progress of your report.

The “commUNITYcate” system provided by the WMF Group will guarantee that your anonymity will be protected technologically, provided that you yourself do not enter any data that allows for conclusions about your identity to be drawn.

We assure you that we are only interested in the report you submitted. As a whistleblower, you are protected from reprisals, unless you knowingly submit a false report.

  • How can I receive a reply and yet remain anonymous?

Protection of the whistleblower is the highest priority in the BKMS® Incident Reporting used. The anonymity protection function of the system is certified.

When setting up your secure postbox, you select your pseudonym and password yourself. The anonymity of your report is protected through encryption and other specialised security routines. You will never be asked for personal data at any time during the reporting process. Only enter personal data if you explicitly intend to do so.

The confidential lawyer and the WMF Compliance Management system will use the secured postbox to respond to your report and ask questions, if necessary. You will also remain anonymous during the dialogue.
