Information about submission via telephone:
  • What is this system used for?

You may use Bilfinger Compliance Communications to anonymously or by stating your name submit reports about legal infringements or violations of Compliance rules within the Bilfinger Group. You will be provided with precise information about possible categories of a report as you go through the process.

  • Why should I submit a report?

Bilfinger expects all its employees when they are working for the Group to comply strictly with the law, other binding regulations, and internal company rules.
Legal infringements may result in high fines, being barred from public and private contracts, the imposing of additional sanctions by the authorities and demands for compensation as well as reputational damage. The resulting economic consequences damage the Group and jeopardise its employees' jobs. Bilfinger actively follows up information about potential legal infringements within the Group, and where necessary it involves the responsible authorities and cooperates with them. Your report is therefore important as a means of stopping such infringements and preventing them from happening in future.

  • How does a report work? How do I set up a postbox?

If you would like to submit a report either with your name or anonymously, click the “Submit report” button at the upper left of our info page.

The reporting process consists of 4 steps:

    1. First you are asked to read information on protecting your anonymity and to answer a security query.
    2. On the next page you are asked for the category of your report.
    3. On the reporting page, phrase your information in your own words and select answers to questions about the case. You may use up to 4,096 characters in the free-text field, which corresponds to a full DIN A4 page. You may also attach small files up to 2 MB to support your report. Keep in mind that electronic documents may contain information about the author. After you sent your report, you will receive a reference number as proof that you have sent this report.
    4. After this, please set up your own, secured postbox. This will be used by us to send you feedback, information about the progress of your case and answered questions.

If you already have a secured postbox, you can reach this postbox directly via the “Login” button. Here as well, you must first answer a security query. As long as you yourself do not input any data that allows conclusions to be drawn about your identity, the reporting system protects your anonymity technically. We assure you that we are only interested in the case you are reporting. Irregularities should be exposed and financial damage averted.

  • How do I receive feedback and still remain anonymous?

The paramount principle of the reporting process is the protection of the whistleblower. The operational effectiveness of the method of preserving anonymity is certified. When setting up your secured postbox you should choose your pseudonym/user name and password yourself. The anonymity of your report is maintained using encryption and other special security procedures. You will not be asked for personal information about yourself at any point in the reporting process. Please do not enter any data which gives any clues as to your identity. Please do not use a PC provided by your employer for submitting your report.
A case handler will reply to you via your secured postbox to let you know what is happening with the information you have provided or to ask questions if any details are still unclear - your anonymity is also maintained when communicating with him/her.
