Integrity System

The GEA Group is dedicated to responsible and sustainable company management. Integrity and legally compliant behaviour are therefore of the highest priority at GEA. In order to prevent possible damage to the company, its employees, business partners, shareholders or other stakeholders, GEA is interested in learning about serious violations of laws or internal regulations at the company as early as possible. GEA values an open company culture. You should therefore generally take your concerns first in confidence to the competent offices in the company.

If you do not wish to take this path, GEA offers you an opportunity with this reporting system to alert us directly online to serious violations.

Please note that the Integrity System is not a general complaint tool. For this reason, it offers only selected report categories that represent major risks to the company, its employees and all other stakeholders. This includes the areas of corruption, fraud and breach of trust, money laundering and violations of antitrust and competition law, export control regulations, data privacy and accounting regulations. As an employer, GEA also feels responsible in the event of violations of the principles of social responsibility outlined in the Codes of Conduct. These cases therefore represent a separate report category.

Your report via this portal will be received by an external system of Business Keeper AG, Germany, which is independent of the GEA infrastructure. Only a restricted set of persons from the departments of Compliance, Internal Audit and Human Resources has access to your report according to their specific areas of competence and has the responsibility for processing your report in a confidential manner.

It is also possible to submit reports anonymously via this reporting system. Please only make use of this option in exceptional cases, in particular if you fear serious repercussions of a personal or professional nature. Due to differing data privacy regulations or ongoing consultancy proceedings with public authorities or employee representation bodies, it may be that the Integrity System will be accessible in some countries (such as France) a later point in time or will only be available in a limited functionality and without the option of giving anonymous reports.

Please note that false accusations can have serious consequences for those involved. We therefore expressly ask that you use this reporting system responsibly and only provide information that you are certain is true according to your best knowledge and belief. Knowingly submitting false information can result in prosecution under criminal and labour laws.

Thank you for your report and for your support.

  • Why should I submit a report?

Compliance with statutory, social and company-internal rules is part of a positive and open company culture.

You might have knowledge of specific compliance risks that could pose risks for our company. Your report allows us to discover such risks early and allows GEA to take action before damage is sustained by the company or third parties. Your active participation can help secure the continued existence of your company and your own job!

  • What reports can be submitted to the reporting portal?

You can make reports that refer to possibly severe violations in the areas of white-collar crime (e.g. acts of corruption), antitrust violations, export control or privacy policy as well as serious violations of the principles of social responsibility outlined in our Codes of Conduct. The selection of available categories may differ based on the applicable national laws.

Additional information on which topics can be addressed on the reporting system is provided during the reporting process.

  • What is the process for submitting a report, how do I set up a postbox?

To submit an anonymous or personalized report, start by clicking the “Submit Report” button located on the top left side of our introduction page.

There are 4 steps to the report process:

    • First, you will be asked to read some information on the protection of your anonymity and to respond to a security query.
    • On the following page, you will be asked about the category of your report.
    • On the report page, you can elaborate on your report in your own words and answer questions about the incident by simply selecting responses. In the free text field, you can write 4,096 characters, which corresponds to a full DIN A4 page. You may also submit a file of up to 5 MB to support your report. Please do bear in mind that documents can contain information about the author. Following the sending of your report, you will receive a reference number as confirmation that you have forwarded this report.
    • Please subsequently set up your own secured postbox. You will receive feedback from us via this postbox, including answers to questions and information about the progress of your report.

If you already have a secured postbox, you can access it directly via the “Login” button. First, you will have to answer a security query.

As long as you do not enter any data which allows conclusions to be drawn about your identity, the BKMS® technology protects your anonymity.

Please rest assured that we are interested only in the incident you are reporting. Abuse should be revealed and financial losses prevented.

  • How do I receive feedback and remain anonymous at the same time?

The overriding principle of the BKMS® procedure used here is the protection of the reporting person. The anonymity functionality is certified and can be verified by you at any time.

When setting up your secured postbox, please select your own pseudonym/user name and password. Your report is kept anonymous through encryption and other special security routines. You will never be asked for personal information at any time during the reporting process. Do not submit any information that can be traced back to you. Please do not use a computer that has been provided by your employer to submit your report.

Via the secured postbox, an examiner will provide you with feedback on what is happening with your information or pose questions if details still need to be clarified - you will also remain anonymous during the dialogue. We are interested in reports to avoid damages, not in you as a reporting person.
